TAToolkit provides tools to help Travel Advisors do their jobs more efficiently, leaving more time to increase sales or to have a personal life! The reviews in Level 1 provide more objective travel professional feedback than consumer review sites. And Level 2 gives you searchable access to every detail on a resort; now you can quickly match your client to the resorts that most closely match their needs! Now that you’ve identified a resort, use the Details area to find the Tour Operators to book it or the Contact section to reach out to the resort with additional questions. You can find available Resort Fact Sheets, Resort Maps, MICE Brochures, etc. within the Files tab. All the tools you need to book resorts more quickly!
The reviews in TAToolkit are BY travel agents, FOR travel agents. TAs are typically more thorough, observant and objective than consumers; most review sites are for them. And a former Travel Agent favorite, Oyster.com, is no longer being maintained since being purchased by TripAdvisor a few years ago. After COVID, we need reviews that reflect the current situation at resorts, not something several years old!
When you search a TO’s database, you only get the resorts they carry. TAToolkit lists resorts from all the TOs, and some that you’ll even have to book direct.
One of the most frustrating situations is when a client requests “anything in the Caribbean except Mexico.” That requires an individual search for each location, and many great options are missed because we just don’t have the time to search every island in the Caribbean. With TAToolkit, you can search multiple locations at once to find the best fit for your client.
Every day there is at least one post on Facebook stating “my client wants any Caribbean but Mexico, a swim-out suite, and beach volleyball is a must.” The “anywhere” situation is addressed above, but TO search engines also don’t get down to small details like activities on site or room types carried at that resort. We do!
TAToolkit returns search matches for 80% of what you request. The results will list the options you entered, and any not included will be crossed out. Results will be displayed starting with the highest percentage of match to the lowest.
We have several resources we use for the searchable resort information. We start with resort websites themselves, manually going through each page and updating information. We also search various tour operator sites, especially to find the ones that carry each resort. Finally, we ask our contacts at the resorts to review and update / correct any missing or mis-information. Obviously the resorts with the best response rates are the ones who will have the most complete listing and provide the best matches against any search.
We have no current plans, but we do have a demo on YouTube, which you can access here. When you sign up for any account Level, you will receive an email with that link, along with a list of the start times for various aspect demonstrations.
